What is a patient navigator and what do they do?
The center’s patient navigator is Carol Walovich, RN. She serves as the patient’s partner, helping guide patients through the often confusing diagnosis and treatment planning process. The patient navigator and radiologist will work closely with your physician and a multi-disciplinary team of specialists including medical oncologists and radiation oncologists to provide a comprehensive breast cancer treatment plan.
Our patient navigator can assist in a variety of ways: scheduling appointments, contacting physicians, providing outside resources and being a primary contact when you need help.
